2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is set to launch in India on October 5. The updated luxury sedan gets styling and technology updates similar to the facelifted Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with additional personalisation options and powertrain upgrades. Inside, the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has an S-Class-like Superscreen arrangement. It has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display.
The car has a new electrical and electronic architecture that has four supercomputers. The systems control functions ranging from the displays to safety systems and driving dynamics.

2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Powertrain Details
International markets will get petrol and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The S 580 has an upgraded 4.0-litre V8 engine with a flat-plane crank, which produces 537hp and 750Nm.
Some markets also offer the S 580e plug-in hybrid. It has a 3.0-litre inline-six engine with a 163hp electric motor and a 22kWh battery. The combined output is 585hp and 750Nm, while the electric-only driving range is claimed at up to 98km.

The top-spec S 680 will use either a V12 or a more powerful V8 depending on the market. Autocar India reports that the India-spec version is likely to use a 612hp, 850Nm version of the 4.0-litre V8, although the final Indian powertrain has not been confirmed.
