Vivo has officially introduced the latest flagships of the Vivo X500 Series in China. The series encompasses Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. Both the Pro and Pro Max models come equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, whereas the standard X500 features Dimensity 9600M. The rear camera system on all three phones is Zeiss and the phones are based on the OriginOS 7 operating system on top of Android 17.

Vivo X500 Series Price and Availability

The Vivo X500 starts at CNY 5,499 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 5,999, while the 12GB + 1TB model costs CNY 6,999.

The Vivo X500 Pro starts at CNY 6,499 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It is offered for CNY 7,499 and CNY 8,499 for its 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB versions respectively. But the Vivo X500 Pro Max is priced at CNY 6,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, and CNY 8,999 for the 12GB + 1TB version.

The Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro Max will be available in China from September 24, with the Vivo X500 Pro Max hitting the market on September 29. The phones will go on sale on Vivo’s Chinese online platform.

Vivo X500 is equipped with Dimensity 9600M chipset

The standard Vivo X500 is powered by a 3nm 2.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek Dimensity 9600M processor. The processor has an octa-core CPU with a peak clock speed of up to 4.21GHz and is paired with an ARM G1 Ultra GPU.

The phone features 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and will support up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also has Vivo’s V3+ imaging chip as well. On software side, the handset is powered by Android 17 running on top of OriginOS 7.

Vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max are powered by Dimensity 9600 Pro

Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max will run on MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC. The flagship processor features up to 4.55GHz clock speed and is manufactured using 2nm process. They are both equipped with the Mali-G2-Ultra-NX GPU and Vivo’s V3+ and VS1 imaging chips as well.

Both phones have up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors for biometric authentication are also available on the Pro versions.

Displays Up to 6.85 Inches, 144Hz refresh rate

Vivo X500 has a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,750 pixels. The screen is capable of 144Hz refresh rate, HDR and 300Hz of touch sampling rate. It also has a large colour range and a display of up to 1.07 billion colours.

The Vivo X500 Pro comes with a smaller 6.36-inch 1.5K AMOLED display offering a 1,216 x 2,660 pixel resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate. On the top of the list, Vivo X500 Pro Max features a 6.85-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 and refresh rate of 144Hz.

Zeiss Triple Rear Cameras

The triple rear camera setup in Vivo X500 is Zeiss-tuned. It is equipped with a 64 megapixel periscope telephoto camera (f/2.55), a 50 megapixel “ultra-wide” camera (f/2.0) and a 50 megapixel main camera (f/1.68). The telephoto camera has up to 3.1x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The Vivo X500 Pro is also powered by a triple rear camera system of 50-megapixels, 50-megapixels ultra-wide sensor and 64-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. The Pro Max is getting a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor upgrade. Both Pro variants have 50-megapixel front-facing cameras and can record video up to 4K resolution and 240 frames per second.

Up to 8000mAh Battery and 90W Charging

One of the significant features of the Vivo X500 series is its battery capacity. The Vivo X500 comes with a standard 7,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

This device is powered by a 6,510mAh battery, whereas the Vivo X500 Pro Max is equipped with the series’ biggest 8,000mAh battery. The Pro options both offer 90W wired charging and 40W wireless.

The Connectivity Features and OriginOS 7

All three phones are running with the latest version of OriginOS 7 running on its Android 17 base. Vivo X500 series comes with 5G and 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity. Dual-SIM is also supported by the phones.

The standard Vivo X500 measures 157.01 x 74.49 x 8.15mm and weighs around 213 grams. The Vivo X500 Pro measures 151.78 x 71.92 x 7.95mm and weighs around 192 grams, while the Pro Max measures 163.32 x 76.82 x 7.95mm and weighs around 225 grams.

X500 Series has already been released in China. These models are not priced in India yet, and it is not known when the company will launch them in India. So the Chinese prices are not to be considered India prices
