Nothing has expanded the memory configuration of its two Indian smartphones. The Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4b 6GB 128GB variants are also now available on Flipkart, offering new options that are available under the current 8GB RAM variants. The Phone (4a) 6GB/128GB model is listed at ₹39,999, while the Phone (4b) 6GB/128GB model is listed at ₹35,999.

Nothing Phone (4a) Gets New 6GB/128GB Variant

The Nothing Phone (4a) originally launched in India with three memory configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. The newly listed 6GB/128GB variant also joins the list, with a price of ₹39,999 on Flipkart.

The new configuration has 2GB less RAM as compared to the current 8GB/128GB configuration. Meanwhile, the price of the phone is currently ₹44,999, which is under the listed price. This variant is not the same as the original pricing of the Phone (4a), as it has been through more price changes.

Nothing Phone (4b) 6GB/128GB Price in India

The Nothing Phone (4b) has also been given the 6GB/128GB variant. The initial smartphone came in a variety of 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB capacities. The new 6GB/128GB model is available to purchase for ₹35,999 on its Flipkart product page.

The price of the current 8GB/128GB variant is on a par with the initial price of ₹34,999 and has been raised to ₹39,999. This makes the new 6GB/128GB phone available at ₹4,000 less than the current 8GB/128GB version, but the same 128GB storage at lesser RAM.

New Variants Compared With Original Launch Prices

The new 6GB/128GB variant of the Phone (4a) is priced at ₹8,000 more than the original 8GB/128GB variant, and the new 6GB/128GB variant of the Phone (4b) is priced at ₹1,000 higher than the original 8GB/128GB variant. This comparison is based on the price of the phones at their time of launch and not their present prices.

Current Phone (4a) and Phone (4b) Price Structure

After the previous price changes, the Phone (4a) is currently priced at ₹44,999 for the 8GB/128GB configuration. Thus the 6GB/128GB variant of the device is priced at ₹39,999, which is less expensive, but also has lower RAM storage. Currently, nothing’s official India website has 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants of the Phone (4a), and the recently added 6GB version is going through Flipkart.

The Phone (4b) is currently priced at ₹39,999 and the new 6GB/128GB version at ₹35,999. The 6GB variant thus provides an additional memory choice for the consumer, keeping the 128GB of storage as it is.

What the New Variants Mean for Buyers

The new set-ups primarily offer increased selection options for the consumer. Both have 128GB of storage, and lower internal RAM to 6GB from 8GB. Based on the price quoted in the source report, the price difference between the new and existing 8GB/128GB variants of the Phone (4a) is ₹5,000 while it is priced at ₹4,000 for the Phone (4b).

The new variant is interesting for the Phone (4a), as it has a lower amount of RAM but its price tag remains at ₹39,999, which is still ₹8,000 more expensive than its original ₹31,999. The Phone (4b), on the other hand, has a smaller spread, at ₹1,000 higher than the original 8GB/128GB variant in its launch price.
