National Award-winning screenwriter Ranbir Pushp has brought up the story of Nana Patekar’s Rs 1.5 crore car deal from his memory bank after he shared that he had seen an incident where the veteran actor was seen driving a car bought from the family of a farmer who had killed himself. Pushp said that Patekar had not purchased a Rs 1.5 crore car, but instead had requested a friend to disburse the money to the affected families.

When asked by the writer about the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, Patekar indicated a hoarding with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan slogan and Mahatma Gandhi.
