Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan has died at 75 years old. The actor known for his supporting and character roles in films such as Welcome, Gadar and Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke, passed away at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai on September 24, 2026. His son Mohsin confirmed the news, according to reports from PTI.

Mushtaq Khan had a career spanning around five decades and appeared in over 500 films. He became a familiar face in Hindi cinema through supporting roles across comedy, drama and action films. His death comes after he was hospitalised for following health complications.

Mushtaq Khan Dies After Cancer Diagnosis

According to his son Mohsin, Mushtaq Khan had complained of stomach pain and was taken to hospital. The doctors diagnosed him with cancer and his health deteriorated further. He died at Nanavati Hospital at around 7pm on Thursday.

His son also said that the actor had been working before he was hospitalised. He was reportedly shooting for the debut film of the son of Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera before his health condition worsened.

Mushtaq Khan was admitted to Nanavati Hospital around two weeks before his death. His family has confirmed his death, while reports said his funeral was scheduled for Friday.
