MCX Gold and Silver Prices Today
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), precious metals showed mixed movement during Friday trading. Although bullion market prices moved higher, MCX rates slipped slightly during the session.
As of 10:14 AM, gold for June delivery was trading at ₹1,59,320 per 10 grams. However, silver for July delivery stood at ₹2,74,455 per kilogram. During the previous session, gold declined by ₹566, while silver fell by ₹363.
Additionally, market experts believe global economic uncertainty, rising demand for safe-haven assets, and international price movements are influencing domestic gold rates. Consequently, traders remain cautious despite strong retail demand.
Bullion Market Prices Rise Sharply
According to the All India Bullion Association, silver prices surged by ₹5,000 in the previous trading session. As a result, silver touched ₹2,71,000 per kilogram in the bullion market.
Meanwhile, 24-carat gold prices increased by ₹600 and reached ₹1,65,500 per 10 grams. Earlier, gold had closed at ₹1,64,900. Therefore, the latest rally reflects continued momentum in the precious metals segment.
Experts say that ongoing geopolitical tensions and inflation concerns are supporting gold prices globally. Moreover, the wedding season in India is also boosting jewellery demand, which further supports domestic prices.
