The Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro have officially hit the Chinese market featuring high-resolution displays, high refresh rates and Snapdragon chips. The two tablets will be placed below the recently launched Pad 9 Pro Max, which is powered by the Xiaomi’s Xring O3 chipset. The new models feature Qualcomm chips and feature big batteries, up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Specifications

The Xiaomi Pad 9 sports an adaptive refresh rate up to 144Hz on its 11.2″ 3.2K LCD panel. The panel can deliver up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, DCI-P3 colour coverage and 12-bit colour depth. Xiaomi also offers eye comfort certifications at the hardware level to ensure that the device does not emit blue light and flicker.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset is used to power the tablet. The Pad 9 features a 45W wired charging support battery with a capacity of 9,720mAh. Xiaomi says that a single charge can power up to 14.5 hours of short video or 20 hours of video meetings.

The tablet is 5.75mm thick and weighs 485 grams. It comes with four speakers featuring Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Photography section has a 50MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. It is powered by HyperOS 4 and comes in peach pink, spruce green, black and silver colours.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Specifications

Pad 9 Pro has a bigger 12.5-inch 3.2K LCD display. Fully supports 144Hz refresh rate, P3 colour coverage and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. It is also compatible with full-brightness DC dimming and is TÜV Rheinland certified for eye-protection.

The Pad 9 Pro has an 8 Elite Gen 5 processor under the hood. Xiaomi claims that the tablet can achieve more than 3.4 million points in AnTuTu. The cooling system is with more than 22000 square millimetres of graphite.

It equips the Pro variant with an 11,000mAh battery and has 67W wired charging. It also has 22.5W Reverse wired charging, enabling the tablet to charge compatible devices. The tablet is 5.8mm thick and 580g.

Six Speakers and Productivity Features

The Pad 9 Pro features six speakers to the four of the previous model. It also has a four-mic array for meetings or voice-related activities. The tablet is compatible with Xiaomi’s Focus Stylus Pro and a keyboard accessory for working with it.

In terms of software, the Pad 9 Pro is powered by HyperOS 4, enabling its use with PC-level apps such as the complete version of WPS and CapCut Pro. This makes it suitable for the office, video-editing, and for regular use.

Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro Price in China

Priced at CNY 2,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, the Pad 9 is a good choice for anyone seeking an affordable tablet. The Pad 9 Pro is priced at CNY 3,799 for the same memory and storage option. The Soft Light Edition comes with an extra CNY 200 when compared with the same version in standard model.
