The Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in the Chinese market with its new flagship smartphone – the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The phone has the same dual-screen layout as the previous generation, featuring a smaller display on the back. The 18 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED primary display with a 2.9-inch AMOLED rear display, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme Gen 6 processor, and a triple rear camera system, which includes two 200MP sensors.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Price and Availability

The 18 Pro Max, priced in China, begins at CNY 6,999 that is approximately Rs. 1,00,000 were converted based on the exchange rate. The base variant comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 7,999, while the 16GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 8,999. The price of the top 16GB + 1TB configuration is CNY 9,999. It is available for CNY 10,999, and is transparent with 16GB + 1TB storage.

The Smartphone is available in Black, Ice Peach Pink, Starry Blue and White colours. Xiaomi has announced the pre-orders on its Chinese online platform and said sales will start on the 28th of September 2026. 

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Display and Rear Screen

The 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1208×2624. The panel supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. Xiaomi has also added a Privacy Display feature that will limit side-on viewing of sensitive content on the display.

The phone also features a 2.9-inch AMOLED secondary display with a resolution of 596 x 976-pixel on the back. The back panel also has a maximum brightness of 4,000 nits and refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Secondary screen can be utilized to view information or other supported functions without the phone being turned around.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Processor

The 18 Pro Max runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. Processor’s 2nm production and 5GHz maximum clock speed. The phone has up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi will be offering the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the powerful Extreme variant in the Pro Max.

200MP Dual Camera Setup

18 Pro Max has a triple rear camera setup comprising of two 200MP sensors. The primary camera features an f/1.67 lens and optical stabilisation, whereas the periscope telephoto camera comes with 200MP sensor and an f/2.4 aperture, with OIS also available. Completing the camera system is a 50MP ultrawide camera that has a 102-degree field of view.

The phone also features a 50MP selfie and video camera. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are capable of shooting up to 8K video at up to 30 frames per second. The camera system carries on the tradition of the Leica partnership with Xiaomi for imaging.

8,500mAh Battery With 100W Charging

Another key aspect of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is its battery capacity. The smartphone sports an 8,500mAh battery and the smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro comes with a 7,000mAh battery. The Pro Max can accept 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also powered with 27W wired reverse charging to charge compatible accessories and devices.

Android 17-Based HyperOS 4

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will come with HyperOS 4, which is based on Android 17. The app also includes Xiaomi’s latest AI features, such as the company’s MiMo AI language model and Super Xiaomi AI 2.0. It features 5G, 4G LTE with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.

Connectivity and Security Features

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max comes with a USB Type-C port, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC and Galileo. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock feature. Some other reported features include IR blaster and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It is the continuation of the flagship series which was mainly focused on a big display and secondary rear screen.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max Dimensions and Weight

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max comes in 163.39 x 77.6 x 8.39mm with a weight of ~235 grams. The larger body accommodates the 6.9-inch display, secondary rear screen, triple-camera system and 8,500mAh battery. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 18 Pro has a dimension of 151.8 x 72 x 8.46mm with a weight of approximately 203 grams.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max India Launch

Xiaomi has announced the launch in China for the 18 Pro series, but no date or price has been mentioned for the launch in India. The Pro Max has now received its first official details thanks to the China launch, and will be available on other markets with pricing depending on Xiaomi’s regional launch plans.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, a second display on its rear, Snapdragon 8 Extreme Gen 6 processor, dual 200MP rear cameras and an 8,500mAh battery. Other specs include 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which makes it the premium member of Xiaomi’s recently unveiled 18 Pro series.
