Vivo has officially released its new Vivo Y600i in China, adding a new member to its Y Series smartphone portfolio that prioritizes battery size and body. The phone comes with an 8,000mAh battery, a 6.87-inch 120Hz LCD display and a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It also comes with a 50MP rear shooter, an 8MP selfie shooter, 44W wired charging and IP68/IP69 protection.

Vivo Y600i Price and Sale Date

Vivo Y600i is available in China with two variants of storage sizes. The entry level 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,699, or about Rs 24,300, while the 6GB RAM model with 256GB storage is offered at CNY 1,999, or Rs 28,500. The iPhone will be made available in China from Sept. 30, and will be priced at $999.The iPhone will cost $999 and will be offered in China beginning Sept. 30.

The phone comes in Stardust, Sky Blue and Midnight Black colours. Vivo has not yet mentioned when and at what price the device will launch in India.

6.87-Inch Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

The smartphone comes with a 6.87-inch LCD screen that has a resolution of 1592 x 720 pixels. It has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum peak brightness of 1300 nits. It also features DC dimming and software-based low blue-light protection. The specification will make the phone a big screen, but not so large that it becomes too unwieldy.

The Midnight Black and Sky Blue handset weighs approximately 229 grams, the Stardust version is approximately 230 grams. It has IP68/IP69 water resistant rating and a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the side.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Processor With 6GB RAM

Vivo Y600i’s under-the-hood features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 mobile platform. The chipset comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Vivo also offers Memory Fusion technology that virtually increases memory usage to 12GB. Storage can be expanded up to 2 TB using a memory card.

The smartphone is powered by OriginOS 6 interface which is based on the Android 16 operating system. Other connectivity and convenience options include NFC and an IR remote control. Infrared also enables the phone to be used as a remote for compatible electronic devices.

8,000mAh Battery With 44W Fast Charging

One of the key specs of the new mobile phone is battery capacity. It features a 44W wired fast charging and 8,000mAh battery. The phone also supports wired reverse charging, allowing the handset to provide power to compatible devices. As per the lab testing, the battery can hold up to 80 percent of its capacity after 1,500 charging cycles, says Vivo.

Vivo also claims that the phone can deliver up to 25 hours of short-video playback. The large battery capacity puts the Y600i in the higher storage class smartphones of its kind, but real usage will vary based on network usage, brightness, applications and usage.

50MP Rear Camera and 8MP Selfie Camera

The phone is equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera for photography. Selfie and video calling is made easier with an 8MP front camera. The camera application offers some useful functions: Portrait Mode, Dynamic Photo, watermark, etc.

The rear camera module is vertically mounted on top left corner of the back panel. The design features two camera elements in the shape of circles, as well as an LED flash. The phone has a punch-hole display on the front.

IP68 and IP69 Protection

The Vivo Y600i is also protected against water and dust, with IP68 and IP69 ratings. The Vivo has been also been given with SGS Gold level five stars anti drop and anti-shock certification. The features are designed to make the phone more durable when it is being used on a day-to-day basis.

Previously, the device was seen on the hands of China Telecom under the model number V2617A and it features a 6.87-inch display, Snapdragon chipset and 8,000mAh battery. The final details of the launch have been confirmed, with some of the earlier details including battery capacity and processor.
